Newtopia Cyder
Building botanical buzz
As San Diego’s first craft cidery, Newtopia began with a vision for Old World craft steeped in West Coast culture. Victorian-era “plant hunters” and their fascination with botany inspired watercolor illustrations. The premise was also brewed into operations, as traditional cider bases were remixed with exotic botanical ingredients from around the globe. Within a year, Newtopia rolled out a bounty of new cider flavors in 16oz cans and began to hit the shelves of discerning craft beverage retailers.
Tasting rooms showcase botanical illustrations from contemporary artists side by side with hedonistic vignettes from old world master Hieronymus Bosch. A new era introduced fresh packaging releases designed to make a poolside splash for party people the world over, as cider has done for over 5,000 years.
